As an employer of choice, the Company has formalized its orientation and onboarding process. This package includes the policy in Word (DK40 – 8 pages) and an Excel checklist (DK41) – 2 pages. As it is about hiring and retaining the right people, this a Best Practices process. This process maintains oversite by HR, but now makes involvement by the hiring department a requirement. If your orientations do not push active involvement by the receiving department, and if you are having turnover – this could be part of the solution. Combination of Excel and Word – 10 pages altogether.
