Human Resources employees are widely expected to set the example with regard to ethics. With the adoption of a formalized Code of Ethics, Human Resources both acknowledges its acceptance of this role and establishes expectations of HR employees. Clearly, adoption of a Code of Ethics is a Best Practices initiative.
